Master Your Priorities
The Eisenhower Matrix is a productivity method attributed to Dwight D. Eisenhower. It helps you distinguish between tasks that are urgent (time-sensitive) and those that are important (contribute to your long-term goals). By categorizing your tasks, you can avoid the "urgency trap" of focusing on trivial things that need immediate attention, and instead make time for what truly matters.
How It Works
- Add Your Tasks: Use the input field to add everything you need to do. New tasks will appear in the "Do First" quadrant by default.
- Prioritize with Drag & Drop: Drag tasks between the four quadrants based on their urgency and importance.
- Do First: Urgent and Important.
- Schedule: Important, but Not Urgent.
- Delegate: Urgent, but Not Important.
- Eliminate: Neither Urgent nor Important.
- Complete and Clear: Check off tasks as you complete them. Completed tasks will be grayed out, giving you a clear sense of accomplishment.
Pair this tool with the Focus Timer to work through your "Do First" list in productive sprints.
